This Isn’t Our Last Love Letter

Dear Don Don,

Way back in 92

I walked into the room and knew

Never felt this way before

I shook your hand while gazing into your eyes

And the feeling grew

As I took a seat I knew

A love that would have my heart

Forever

I knew

Way back in 92

They say love at first sight doesn’t always last or isn’t true

We were the exception to that rule

Our love had no where to hide

A spark set fire

As if this is how the universe started

I never doubted our love or what we could do

Together we grew

Forming a bond everlasting

That became our glue

My euphoria was YOU

I’m eternally grateful for the love and life we shared

For how fortunate we were :

“to have and to hold
through sickness and in health
Til death do us part”

Until we are together again

This isn’t our last love letter

I love you with all my heart and soul

Yours forever,

Deirdre  (Mrs. Hank Snow)

I’m fortunate to have fallen in love with, marry and make a life with the sharpest, coolest, funniest, most rare, bad ass, tender loving, loyal man on the planet, my husband Don Imus.

A True American Hero

I don’t know why it has been so hard for me to write about my dear friend Don Imus.

I certainly know what he meant to me, my family, my charity, my hospital and the millions of fans that listened and loved him for so many years.

I keep reading all the beautiful condolences that people are writing about how much a part of their lives were effected by listening to him over the years.

But what most people don’t talk enough about is what he did for all of us.

In every sense of the word, he was an American Hero. His work with children with so many different illnesses and his dedication to their future was unmatched by anyone I have ever known or heard about.

Besides raising over $100,000,000 for so many causes, he took care of young people for over 20 years in a state where he could not breathe.  Along with his incredible wife Deirdre, he created a world where children were not defined by their disease. That was a miracle! He was a miracle.

I will miss him ever day for the rest of my life.
I was blessed to be a part of his and Deirde’s life.
No one will ever do what he did.
I love you Don Imus - A TRUE AMERICAN HERO

David Jurist

A Tribute To Don Imus

Children’s Health Defense joins parents of vaccine-injured children and advocates for health freedom in remembering the life of Don Imus, a media maverick in taking on uncomfortable topics that most in the mainstream press avoid or shut down altogether. His commitment to airing all sides of controversial issues became apparent to the autism community in 2005 and 2006 as the Combating Autism Act (CAA) was being discussed in Congress. The Act, which was ultimately signed into law by George W. Bush in December of 2006, created unprecedented friction among parents of vaccine-injured children and members of Congress; parents insisted that part of the bill’s billion-dollar funding be directed towards environmental causes of autism including vaccines, while most U.S. Senators and Representatives tried to sweep any such connections under the rug.

Don Imus Leaves a Trail of Way More Than Dust

Don Imus Was Abrupt, Harsh And A One-Of-A-Kind, Fearless Talent

By Michael Riedel - The one and only time I had a twinge of nerves before appearing on television was when I made my debut in 2011 on “Imus in the Morning” on the Fox Business Channel. I’d been listening to Don Imus, who died Friday at 79, since the 1990s as an antidote the serious (bordering on the pompous) hosts on National Public Radio. I always thought it would be fun to join Imus and his gang — news anchor Charles McCord, producer Bernard McGuirk, comedian Rob Bartlett — in the studio, flinging insults back and forth at one another. And now I had my chance. I was invited on to discuss to discuss “Spider-Man, Turn Off the Dark,” the catastrophic Broadway musical that injured cast members daily.

Bob Schieffer: Wall Street Protestors Have Lost Faith in the Government's Ability to Get Things Done

Bob Schieffer told the I-Man this morning that Andy Rooney is a great writer, Newt Gingrich’s campaign got off to a horrible start, and Herman Cain is very likeable. But in the end, he thinks Romney will win the nomination.

I listened to the interview with Mr. Schieffer, 10 Oct 11, I found it interesting how he pathetically tried to compare the Tea Party with the Occupy WS group, that was really something! The the other was the remarks about Herman Cain. I was impressed as to how he shirted the question with a "likeable" comment. The way he answered made one to think of two things; first, he hasn't interviewed person with strong belief in America before, and didn't care for that, or Mr. Cain is a Republican and Black, breaking the mold of what is supposed to happen. This is the "Covert Segregation" that has been imposed on American people to manipulate them into a certain mold.

Since the late 60’s and 70’s there was a push, by the “enlightened” people, for ethnic identity. The purpose was by being informed of your heritage through ones background would lead to a since of pride. The theory was, looking at where family traditions and other activities came from, the search would be very informative, educational and raises pride in ones ethnicity. To further narrow the pride and identification, someone came up with using the “hyphenated-American”(X-American) label separate out and express their new found identity. This trend took off with millions grasping their heritage. however, there was something just not sitting right. I looked as to why I felt different when I heard a hyphenated name used to identify a person, rather than just using their name. It was really disturbing trying to figure out what was causing the uncomfortable feeling. For years, I watched and listened to the use of the hyphenated–American phrase, how it affected or was used in association with different functions and activities. Then one day during a news broadcast the uncomfortable feeling exposed it’s self. What I found was; this type of tracking takes on hidden actions to segregating people. Whatever, the original intent was it has now turned into a covert form of segregation for the manipulation of people. It is brought to light and is pushed, especially, by the news media, politicians, or anyone catering to certain groups for their gain.

Turning from a history lesson in heritage, we now have an imposed covert segregation on people under the guise of ethnic background. The people imposing this segregation have realized that if they are able to use ones background, they would make it much easier to manipulate people. They were right, it’s definitely working. Every day we are bombarded with these subliminal messages from the media, politics, conversations from some pulpits and writings with how certain X-American group must be catered to, pandered to, or how they can be abused in order to achieve a specific goal. So, we have the stereo type profiling of people with a specific set of artificial standards. As an example, if you are a X-American you must be a member of a specific political party, believe a certain way, eat only certain foods, dress a special way, act or have a life style in accordance with the standards for your particular ethnicity. To reinforce those artificial standards self-selected members of a group elevate themselves to the positions of spokesperson for the whole group. These self-appointed people make statement and act according to the artificial standards to lead the people to remain in the group. In fact, if you venture outside the scope of the group, the name calling begins, along with false accusations, ostracizing and penalized for thinking or having your own opinion other than the group think. This is further propitiated by the media through editorials and race baiting stories. This covert segregation is stopping, or destroying the initiative of people, and replacing it with hate, agitation and the stay “inside the box” mentality.

With the introduction of this type of segregation, items like quotas appear, if you want to advance yourself, or just happy with where you are in life, as long as you stay inside the confines of the artificial standards being insisted on by the group things will be ok! So ask yourself, is a person a better executive, coach, teacher, or leader because of their ethnicity or because of their abilities or qualifications? What do we really gain by forcing people to adhere to an artificial set of standards? Absolutely nothing! In fact a stymieing of growth keeps the people down. With this unseen segregation directing our actions, are we trapped in a revolving door of complexity, deception and bias?

As the country grew, we struggled, did things wrong and overcame numerous obstacles to be the most advanced nation on the earth, all because of the frontrunners. So, what is wrong with being an American? What’s wrong with being an American of X-decent? Nothing! Knowing ones background is good, it is very informative and educational! However, when it is turned into deception and artificial standards system we have a choice; continue being forced into a divisive set of artificial standards or expose the deception thus bring back the freedom of thought and pride in a country our founding father envisioned and people from all parts of the world want to be part of! With the proud of a heritage coupled with our blend of ethnicities the diversity has made us the greatest country on the face of the earth! Don’t let an artificial standard cover your pride in America. We currently have it great in this country so let's make it better rather than worse!
