Fred Dicker on NY Primary

Fred Dicker noted that Bernie Sanders has had tremendous rallies in New York, and although Hillary Clinton is ahead in the polls, Dicker thinks the race is going to be very tight. On the Republican side, Trump is doing extremely well in New York.

Fred Dicker is a longtime columnist for the New York Post. He is the state editor for New York since 1982, where he has covered the administrations of Hugh Carey, Mario Cuomo, George Pataki, Eliot Spitzer, David Paterson, and Andrew Cuomo.  Prior to 1982, Dicker was a state government reporter for the Albany Times Union, a morning daily newspaper owned by the Hearst Corporation. Just prior to the capital assignment, he covered the federal deportation trial for accused Nazi war criminal Vilis Hazners for the Times Union.

In October 1987, Dicker was physically shoved out of the offices of the New York State Assembly House Operations Committee by Norman Adler, a senior aide to the then Assembly Speaker Mel Miller, creating quite a public stir.  A 2005 New York Observer story on Dicker stated that he is a "political institution in his own right" and his reporting "regularly drives news coverage". Dicker broke the Troopergate scandal in July 2007 and engaged in a heated argument with Republican gubernatorial candidate Carl Paladino in October 2010, in which Paladino accused Dicker of authorizing a photographer to take pictures of his daughter.  In addition to his newspaper work, Fred Dicker also hosts a talk show on WGDJ in Albany and WVOX in New Rochelle.

John Roberts Talks Trump

Fox News’ John Roberts said that Ted Cruz is outplaying Donald Trump in the ground game. Roberts also said that if Trump doesn’t make it to the Republican convention with 1,237 delegates, he would be stopped there. 

John Roberts joined Fox News Channel (FNC) as a senior national correspondent in January 2011 and is based in the Atlanta bureau. He also serves as a rotating anchor for FOX Report (Saturdays 7PM/ET).

Most recently, Roberts secured an exclusive interview with embattled Toronto Mayor Rob Ford surrounding allegations of his drinking and drug use. He also reported live from Moore, OK in the wake of the deadly EF5 tornado. While at FNC, he has provided live coverage during numerous breaking news and political events, including the 2012 presidential debates, the Democratic and Republican national conventions and Hurricane Irene.

Prior to joining FNC, Roberts co-anchored CNN's American Morning from 2007 to 2010. Previously, he served as CNN's senior national correspondent and anchor of This Week at War, examining international wars, including those in Afghanistan and Iraq. Throughout his career, he has traveled internationally to report on major developing news, including Yugoslavia during the NATO bombing, the London bombings of July 2005 and earthquakes in Turkey. Additionally, he has interviewed numerous prominent figures, including former Presidents George W. Bush, George H.W. Bush and Bill Clinton, former Vice President Al Gore, the late Yitzhak Rabin and Pakistani President Pervez Musharraf.

Before joining CNN in 2006, he spent more than 14 years with CBS News, during which he was the chief White House correspondent, chief medical correspondent and anchor of the weekend editions of the CBS Evening News and CBS Morning News. While there, he was embedded with the U.S. Marines during the war in Iraq and anchored the CBS Evening News coverage of Hurricane Katrina and the death of Pope John Paul II. From 1994-1995, Roberts anchored the evening news on WCBS-TV (CBS 2) in New York. He began his career in Canada, where he worked as an anchor and correspondent for City TV in Toronto and also co-anchored CTV's morning news program, Canada A.M. from 1990-1992.

Over the course of his career, Roberts has been a recipient of several awards, including an Emmy, a New York Press Club award and three national Emmy Awards for his coverage of the Atlanta Olympic bombing, the death of Princess Diana and the TWA crash. Roberts also earned a National Headline Award for his coverage of the crisis along the Israeli-Lebanese border in 2006. He attended the University of Toronto at Mississauga.

Connell McShane

Connell McShane is a news correspondent for FOX Business Network and news reader on Imus In The Morning radio program.

 

Prior to joining FBN, McShane worked at Bloomberg Television where he served as a news reporter and an anchor on "Evening Edition," "On the Markets" and "Marketweek." He also broadcasted live reports from both the New York Stock Exchange (NYSE) and NASDAQ. Before Bloomberg Television, McShane co-anchored the syndicated morning show "The First Word" on Bloomberg Radio. McShane began his career in sports broadcasting. He served as the play-by-play voice of minor league baseball’s Pittsfield Mets during the 1998 season.

 

A graduate of Fordham University with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Communication and Media Studies, McShane was named a finalist in both the New York Metro Achievement in Radio Awards and the New York State Associated Press Broadcasters' Association.

Julie Roginsky on Democratic Debate

Julie Roginsky said there was no clear winner in last night’s Dem debate, which is good news for Hillary. However, according to a Fox National poll, Hillary’s lead is down. Julie called these polls irrelevant since it’s not a national race yet.

She is a contributor with the Fox News Channel, appearing mainly as a co-host on Outnumbered, and occasional co-host of The Five.  Prior to working at Fox News, she was a contributor at CNBC.
